📌 Important Travel Notes

Manali, nestled in the heart of Himachal Pradesh, is a land deeply rooted in rich traditions and vibrant culture. The region is known for its warm hospitality, colorful local fairs, and cultural celebrations, especially the famous Kullu Dussehra, which draws visitors from across the globe. Traditional Himachali attire reflects the mountain lifestyle, with women wearing woolen shawls called ‘pattu’ and men donning ‘cholas’, particularly during the colder seasons. A visit to Manali is incomplete without savoring its local cuisine—flavorful dishes like Siddu, Thenthuk, Tudkiya Bhath, and Chha Gosht offer a true taste of the hills. These are best enjoyed with hot beverages such as Kahwa or traditional butter tea, found in cozy cafés and local dhabas. The weather in Manali varies with the seasons—summers (April to June) are pleasantly cool and ideal for sightseeing with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C, while winters (October to February) are chilly and perfect for snow activities, dipping as low as -2°C. The monsoon season (July to September) brings lush greenery but also a higher risk of landslides, so travel during this period should be planned with caution.
