Upon arriving in Manali in the morning, check into your comfortable hotel and freshen up. Your day begins with a visit to the famous Hadimba Devi Temple, a beautifully crafted wooden temple set amidst tall cedar trees. Next, explore Vashisht Temple, known for its ancient significance and therapeutic hot water springs. Continue to the colorful Tibetan Monastery, and stroll through Van Vihar, a lush park beside the Beas River. The rest of the day can be spent enjoying shopping at Mall Road, trying local Himachali woolens and handicrafts, and savoring traditional snacks at cozy cafés. This adventure paradise is surrounded by snow-covered mountains and offers a wide range of adrenaline-filled activities such as paragliding, skiing, horse/yak riding, zorbing, zip-lining, and snowboarding (activities at your own cost). During winter months, the valley transforms into a snow sports wonderland.

For travelers visiting between 15th May to 15th November, you have the option to visit the breathtaking Rohtang Pass (subject to availability and additional charges), which sits at 13,050 feet and remains snow-covered most of the year. Alternatively, experience the engineering marvel of Atal Tunnel, which connects Manali to Lahaul Valley and opens up mesmerizing views. Please note, Rohtang Pass is closed on Tuesdays, and entry is governed by National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines with limited vehicle permits available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Day 4: Explore Kullu Valley & Naggar Castle – Evening Departure for Delhi

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, check out from your hotel, and drive through the picturesque Kullu Valley. En route, stop at the sacred Hanogi Mata Temple, offering panoramic views and spiritual peace. Then explore Naggar Castle, an architectural gem built in traditional Kath-Kuni style that once served as the royal residence of Kullu kings. In the evening, you will be dropped off at the Manali Volvo stand by 6:00 PM, from where you board your overnight Volvo back to Delhi.

📌 Cultural Notes, Weather & Traditions

Manali is more than just a destination—it’s a cultural experience. The locals are proud of their Himachali heritage, reflected in their hospitality, traditional fairs, and attire. Don’t miss the iconic Kullu Dussehra, a week-long celebration drawing global visitors. Women often wear colorful ‘Pattu’ (woolen shawls), and men wear ‘Cholas’ and traditional caps—especially during winter. Himachali food is another highlight—try dishes like Siddu, Tudkiya Bhath, Thenthuk, and Chha Gosht, best enjoyed with Kahwa or butter tea, available at local cafés and roadside dhabas.

Weather-wise, summers (April to June) are pleasant and ideal for sightseeing (10°C–25°C). Winters (October to February) bring snowfall and freezing temperatures (-2°C to 10°C), making it perfect for snow lovers. Monsoon (July to September) offers lush scenery but is less ideal due to landslides and heavy rainfall—so plan accordingly.
