🚆 How to Reach Manali from Kota by Train
Traveling from Kota (Rajasthan) to Manali is a scenic and convenient journey when planned with a combination of train and bus. Begin by boarding a train from Kota Junction (KOTA) to New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS)—multiple express trains like Kota Janshatabdi, Hazrat Nizamuddin Intercity, or Kota–Dehradun AC Express are available daily. Upon reaching Delhi, you will be transferred to Majnu Ka Tilla / RK Ashram Bus Terminal to board a semi-sleeper AC Volvo bus for an overnight journey to Manali (approx. 12 hours).
Day 1: Delhi to Manali – Overnight Volvo Journey
Meals: Not Included
After arriving in Delhi by train from Kota, head to the Volvo bus stand for your overnight journey to Manali. Board a comfortable AC semi-sleeper coach and relax as the urban landscapes give way to mountainous terrain. Let the rhythmic hum of the bus and the cool breeze transport you closer to your dream destination.
Day 2: Arrival in Manali – Local Sightseeing
Meals: Welcome Drink & Dinner
Arrive in Manali by morning and check into your deluxe hotel surrounded by cedar forests and snowy peaks. After some rest, proceed for local sightseeing. Visit the historic Hadimba Devi Temple, tucked within a grove of deodar trees, and the serene Vashisht Village, famous for its sulfur hot springs and ancient temples. Walk through the peaceful Van Vihar Park, shop at Mall Road, and spend time at the Tibetan Monastery. End your tour with leisure time at the Club House before returning for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Solang Valley Adventure – Optional Rohtang Pass or Atal Tunnel
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
After breakfast, head to Solang Valley, just 14 km from Manali, known for its thrilling adventure sports. You can opt for paragliding, ATV rides, skiing, snow tubing, zorbing, and cable car rides (at your own cost). During winter, Solang becomes a white wonderland with perfect snow cover.
💠 Optional Add-On: Weather and permit permitting, you may visit the Rohtang Pass (open May to November) for panoramic Himalayan views or drive through the iconic Atal Tunnel to reach Sissu Village in Lahaul Valley—an emerging gem with waterfalls and apple orchards. (Extra charges apply)
Day 4: Scenic Drive to Kullu, Naggar & Hanogi Mata Temple
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Post breakfast, embark on a breathtaking journey through Kullu Valley. Witness the artistry of a local shawl weaving factory, and, if desired, experience river rafting on the Beas River. Visit the sacred Hanogi Mata Temple, located on a cliff with panoramic views. Later, explore Naggar Castle, a 15th-century heritage site offering glimpses into Himachal’s royal legacy. If time allows, visit the Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery (closed on Mondays). Return to Manali in the evening for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Free Day for Relaxation & Leisure
Meals: Breakfast
Today is your personal day to unwind. Enjoy a lazy morning, sip coffee with a view, or revisit Mall Road for souvenir shopping. Treat yourself to a massage, café-hop, or take a stroll along the Beas River. By late afternoon, check out from your hotel and head to the Volvo stand for your overnight return journey to Delhi.
